Kakilang Bubble Tea
Dublin's newest addition to its bubble tea craze.
Kakilang is Dublin's newest addition to its bubble tea scene since early February. The store was warmly welcomed by locals in the city and quickly became one of the most popular bubble tea places amongst its competitors. It is located in the prime area of the city, overlooking the River Liffey and it is a great place to chill and people watch. Many people from different backgrounds and ages flock the cafe daily to enjoy their delectable selection of bubble teas and pastries. The interior and exterior of their building are both modern and very trendy. The cafe is also family friendly and has lots of space to accommodate large groups of people. They have spacious seating area inside and recently they have expanded to outdoor seating to accommodate today's situation of the pandemic. This is very handy because there are not that much places that do an outdoor seating.
They serve a wide variety of Taiwanese style bubble tea and scrumptious delectable pastries. Apart from this, they recently launched new savoury items on their menu, such as Taiwanese style deep-fried chicken steak, ham and cheese croissant etc. Kakilang is continuously developing new amazing recipes so there is always something for everyone. I highly recommend trying their mango bubble tea with cheese foam, it may sound crazy but the unique combination works and is truly amazing. The bubble tea is made in front of you and is served by friendly staff, and if you buy enough bubble tea to complete your loyalty card you can then get a free drink!.
Kakilang has high praises from their google reviews from their customers, as they are hailed as having "the best" bubble tea in Dublin. People also appreciated how the interior decor is aesthetically pleasing, making it Instagram worthy and hard to resist taking pictures. Their menu regularly changes so there’s always something new to try. Queues of people are always seen lining up to get their fill on bubble tea, so it's better to be early to not miss out on popular flavours as they run out fairly quickly.
If you are ever in the city, Kakilang is definitely worth trying if you need a refreshing drink and want to try something new. I cannot stress how Kakilang is hands down one of the best bubble tea cafes in the city as they only use the finest ingredients for the products they produce. I hope that you will support this local cafe during this pandemic as they are only a newly launched business and they need all the support they can ...

Wow, those drinks look refreshing and such an aesthetic environment. Its no wonder Kakilang have such a strong, colourful presence on social media with the decor and drinks making the perfect instagram opportunities. After all "if you didn't post about it, did it really happen?" seems to be the trend at the moment with food and drink. Those neon signs and funky wallpapers definitely bring atmosphere to the tea shop.
ReplyDeleteMango and cheese foam sound like a very interesting combination! This is a flavour I am yet to try as I was sceptical about the flavour mix but will take your word for it and give it a go next time on on the quays.
Yes I highly recommend trying it as it will surely change your mind about the weird combo. The cafe also has a great seating spot near the window, perfect to sit in and people watch on a sunny day ...
DeleteBubble tea makers are new to the Irish market and they are a welcomed addition. To be honest I’ve never tried bubble tea before so I was a bit spectacle, but the flavours are just amazing and I’m already hooked. There’s such a great variety of flavours and its difficult to pick one without feeling that your missing out on the other flavours.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite drink is the pineapple paradise and even when the weathers bad in Dublin it can really make you feel a lot better. I would highly recommend Kakilang to anyone who hasn’t tried bubble tea before.
I completely agree with you Laurence, the addition of bubble tea in Ireland has definitely helped to change Irish peoples palette and broaden their mind as to what kind of dessert drinks are available to them. Also the unique flavours that Kakilang offer is refreshing and something to look forward to at the end of your day as a treat ...
