Kajjal
Eastern dining in Malahide
Kajjal is a Pakistani and Eastern cuisine Restaurant, it is located on the Green in the seaside village of Malahide. The Restaurant is owned by Sean Collender and Shoaib Yunis, and they deliver an excellent dining experience to their customers. It is a very popular place due to its good food and friendly atmosphere, and is the perfect place for a night out as they offer a varied menu to suit all dietary requirements and all ingredients in their dishes are displayed on the menu. The restaurant gets customers from all over Dublin due to its excellent reputation of serving high quality food.
TripadvisorThe Indian
and Pakistani dishes are delicious, and they are a must for anyone who is a
lover of spices. There is also an option of mild spices for those who dont like their food with strong spices. The portions are very generous,
and you will leave the restaurant being very satisfied, even lovers of eastern
food will be surprised by the extent of the dishes on the menu. I would
recommend their spice filled potatoes starter called Aloo Tikki, and the
marinated monk fish dish called Lasooni Machali. The Restaurant’s main dishes are delicious but one I would
recommend is their Tikka masala chicken which is a barbecued chicken in a
creamy nut sauce and their beef korma is also tasty and it contains onions and
almonds in a yogurt sauce.

This Restaurant is very popular with vegetarians as
they offer a wide range of vegetarian dishes especially Channa which contains
chick peas cooked in masala and garnished with spring onion and coriander. They
also have many signature dishes on their menu and one that I would definitely recommend
is their spicey beef curry Nehari Gosht. Also the bar has a wide selection of alcohol drinks. If diners are not familiar with the dishes on the menu, they can ask a member of staff for help about the ingredients.
Kajjal
Restaurant is definitely one to visit apart from its delicious food, and visiting the restaurant is a must for those who are lover of eastern cuisine. It offers
great value to suit all budgets and has remained open during Covid restrictions
as it has an outdoor dining area where you can enjoy a meal safely, and peacefully
as it is in a quiet location in Malahide. The lockdown will be lifted in December, so remember to book early for a table as the restaurant is expecting to be very busy during the Christmas period. If you liked this blog post, then click on the link to see our other blog post on Carluccios.

Great to see another restaurant with outdoor seating in Dublin. Personally I am not a big lover of Indian cuisine however your description of the menu has me very tempted to make a trip to Malahide. The Aloo Tikki will definitely be top of the 'to try' list. Malahide is a lovely village with a great atmosphere. I'm sure that the outdoor seating at Kaja is a great place to be on a Saturday evening for atmosphere. With a roof cover and wind barriers around the seating area, it looks like a very comfortable place to eat and a tough spot to beat.
ReplyDeleteKajjal is definitely a place to go to for people who want to explore different cuisine and broaden their palette. Their selection of food is very enticing and varied, which can cater to all. The restaurant itself has good ambiance and serve good quality food, which is hard to decline.
ReplyDeleteThey also have an outdoor seating area, which is a bonus as outdoor seating is hard to find. This restaurant is located in the centre of Malahide, which is a busy town and most likely this restaurant is full of life in the weekends. This unique restaurant is bringing in different flavours for the locals, which is why it is a favourite among the locals. Would highly recommend this place, as you won’t be disappointed and may discover something new …
Oh wow this place seems interesting, I will consider this option whenever I'm in Skerries and want to have a meal ...
ReplyDeleteWow looks amazing, great recommendations!
ReplyDeleteGood to know they have generous portions as one of my issues with Indian restaurants in town was always that they had tiny portions but was really expensive. Definitely will give this restaurant a go next time
ReplyDeleteI heard the food here is great, I would like to try it.
